BEES ARE FLYING DEATH MONKEYS!!

IT'S OFFICIAL! I HATE BEES!!!!

Okay who am I kidding if you've known me for any amount of time I've always hated bees!!!
Before I was ever stung, I hated them. After I was stung, I hated them. To this day, I hate them.

Yes HATE! I realize this is a very strong word but I mean it! I hate the honey that they make I hate the sound their creepy little wings make, they're ugly and I dont' care what you say THEY'RE MEAN!!!!!!!!!

To give you a small perspective: Yes! I have called my husband home from work to kill a wasp in my home. Yes! I have pulled over on the Interstate because a bee was in my car, Yes! I realize I'm bigger than them and can literally squash them like the evil little bug that they are and yet they can cause me to curl into the fetal position and bawl like a baby

Now these little evil eath monkeys actually have justified my feelings yesterday, when they decided to attack (YES ATTACK) my nephew!!! He's 5 and had the unfortunate luck of finding the evil demon's den under a plant. (For those of you that didnt' know... yes those horrible flying stingers of doom actually can and do nest in the ground sometimes)

Not enjoying the displacement of their roof, the bees/wasps? not sure which they were but I believe they were wasps, decided to take it out on every kid in the neighborhood and must have decided that my nephew was the ring leader because they put a big fat target on him and attacked.

Those little effers continued to chase him into his home and sting him again and again. The EMT stopped counting when taking the notes. We're guessing probably anywhere from 15 to a couple dozen.

Thank God in Heaven he is fine and well, but my hatred for the little pests have now spread.

btw: Yes I realize that w/out them we wouldn't have the gorgeous flowers we have and I realize that honey is used in many things but guess what... thank you to all the bee caretakers out there... I'm not one of them and I get to hate the little buggers! To each their own right?! :O)

WHAT A TRIP!!!

If you ever feel like being surrounded by 1700 people sending nothing but love and excitement your way, I would HIGHLY suggest stopping by/participating in the Eau Claire Marathon celebrations next year!!

I changed my plans from running the 1/2 this year as baby #2 has put a slight damper on training. But decided to do the 2 mile fun run(walk) instead.

VERY Glad I did.

Was a lot of fun, felt great to finish and felt even better to see friends run in from the 1/2 marathon!

Cassie & Jen did AMAZING! Both coming in less than 2.5 hrs and running the entire distance!! SO PROUD! These ladies Rocked it out! I only hope that I can be next to them next year!

**This is the Tuesday after memorial day so you'll have a nice long 3 day weekend to finish up your cards just before the due date

I will not be taking on other cards so if someone does not complete their intended cards, we will each just get extra of our own back.

Cards will be sent out Thursday June 3rd.

So nothing new to report, but I know I havn't posted in WAAAAY to long.

The Marathon is not a forsure thing anymore, now that we're expecting baby #2 in September.
I havn't 100% decided to not participate, but seriously questioning my conditioning at this point.

Crafting was on a heidous for a couple months, but thanks to an AMAZINGLY SCRAPTABULOUS weekend w/ The DIVAs. My ambition to craft is back and I'm ready to get going again! ***Is it almost time for SWAP time again???? I'm thinking maybe!!***

Just a quick update before I head to bed...

2 more miles closer to New Orleans :o) ... and 137 days until the Eau Claire 1/2 marathon!

Training is going well this week. I'm up to running 5 minutes, walking 1 for 1/2 an hour straight. Not bad for someone who 5 weeks prior didn't run and didn't like running!

Have to insert my lil' shout out to Russell! This season's winner of So You Think You Can Dance! I'm pretty dang excited to see someone I've been cheering for all season actually win!! Way to go!!

Running To Cafe Dumonde

So to keep me motivated, I stole an idea from my boss. She & her sister have decided to 'race' eachother to a certain destination to see who can get there first. Their destination is the dells. They track their running and whomever runs that many miles first, wins!

Currently I'm racing myself to... CAFE DUMONDE!!! For those of you that have never had the pleasure of sitting in the french quarter of New Orleans stuffing your face with the worlds most amazing desert, sipping amazing cafe ole, listening to some of the best street music you will ever hear. Its a must! I figured it would be a great goal.

If you care to join me, in my virtual race, at any time, let me know and i'll put your very own themometer on the blog. You can update me on your progress and we can race together!

Training Update-141 days and counting

I havn't updated lately, but trust me I've still been working on my training.

Week 2 didn't go as well as I had hoped it would. Infact I didn't even make it through day 1 of week 2! But instead of just dropping it like I normally would have, I'm pretty proud to say that I kept trying. It took me three weeks of doing "what i could" to finally make it through that 1st day of week 2.

On Monday I'm happy to say I finally completed that retched day ;o)

Surprisingly when I had to bump up my training on Wednesday I had no problem, and hence I'm sitting here able to say that my '2nd week' (5th) of training is FINALLY complete!!

It hasn't been simple, I even found myself visiting family out of town w/out a treadmill, and where I would normally say 'no way it's too cold' I instead packed my running shoes, contacted a good friend and got my rear out the door! Even not feeling well one day this week I found the strength to do what I could late that evening, when normally I would have said "no way it's too late".

I think a lot of being able to change my way of thinking this week has got to be a quote that I received from runnersworld "It's hard to train for a marathon, but it's a lot hard to not be able to train for a marathon"...this has really burned into my mind and it's seems to help me get through those moments when I want to say "I'm too tired, it's too cold, it's too late, it's too early, I don't feel good". I've got to say when you get through those brief moments... it makes all the difference.

I'm on Day 3 of my training program & I have to admit, I was needing some motivation already.

I logged onto my email and viola! Today's Runner's World Quote of the Day:

This quote may seem pretty disconcerting when you first read it, however to me I see comfort.
Comfort in the fact that even seasoned runners have problems getting started and getting motivated every day. I am normal! (Ok we all know I'm not that normal, but in this I am!!)

I am CRAZEE!!!!!

What am I thinking? I have NO idea how it happened but I may (I said MAY) be running a 1/2 marathon come may 2010! WHAT??! I know I know I'm certifiable, but hey lets give it a try.

Cassie somehow cast her spell and I agreed (ok it wasn't quite like that, but close enough ;o)

I'm going to attempt to train for the next 8 weeks to see how it goes and if I make it that far, I will commit for the marathon may 2, 2010 here in EC. So I'll need all your support & cheers. and HEY if any one is feeling CRAZEEE!!! Come Join me!

On another note, my MIL is in town for the weekend (she plays w/ the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra everyonce in awhile) and she brought up our Christmas present early!!! A new camera!!!! yay! Yay! YAY! I'm so excited, now I s/b able to take lots more pics & post some more on my blog & Fb! It's super nice too!

CTMH Regional Celebration

So I just got back from the Minneapolis, MN Close To My Heart Regional Celebration.
I can't begin to explain how excited I am to "work" for such an amazing company! Believe me I use the word "work" very loosely. It's so much more like play! How lucky am I to have a part time 'job' that for my 'job' ... I party!!!
I met so many fun, amazing, beautiful, creative, awesome women & learned so much from each and everyone of them.
Plus my highlight of the weekend...I actually go to get my pic taken w/ Jeanette! The CEO of CTMH. (picture w/b posted later)
She's unforgettable! Super nice & HILARIOUS!!
Wish she would have shared a few more secrets with us though *wink wink*

The classes were fun & I really learned a lot of stuff that I can't wait to get started on. The crafts were really cute, though I can not believe how fast those ladies move when they teach us a project! No room to breath thats for sure!! Though to their credit, teaching 330 women how to do a craft project has got to be an extremely daunting challenge!

Overall, I'm just so excited to see where this will take me... HOPEFULLY ON THE EPIC SHIP FOR OUR CRUISE IN 2011!!... WHO WANTS TO JOIN ME???

This is one of our TrueFit Folios decorated using the ANIMAL COOKIES paper pack and my stickease stickers. On the lower left corner is one of our MY Voice Recorders with my 3YO Daughter singing "Inch Worm" You can spot the use of our Tender Tags on the right hand side middle square.

I chose to go with simple this month for this project, using Basic Black and Garden Green Ink on White Daisy CS Base. Accent with the Garden Green Ribbon and Black CS backing this terrific Tag.

Hi ladies,

A couple of you asked how to create your own signature, so here you go.

Click on my signature at the bottom of my post, this will take you to the create signature site.

Once you pick your signature select "see signature html code"
copy the code and if your using it in a post on a blog when you create your post, type it up as usual and then when you want to add your signature select the "Edit Html" tab on the upper right corner of your post window.

In the Edit Html section, paste your signature code and then you can go back to the compose tab and you will see your Fabulous new signature.

APRIL-TECHNIQUE OF THE MONTH

"KISS" WINTER GOOD-BYE!

Kissing Technique is such a fun way to create your own unique pattern with stamps you already have!
To use the Kissing Technique you will need two stamps. One stamp should be a background or design stamp and the other should be your bold solid image you want to stamp onto your project.
1. Ink up your background stamp making sure it is inked well.
2. Take another bold solid image stamp, and using the background stamp as your inkpad “Kiss” the two stamps together creating a new pattern to your image.

I can't believe it, how did this happen? I know I hear parents say... "The time goes by so fast", "before you know it there a teenager", "Time flies", "They grow up so fast"... never have I agreed with them so much as this weekend. My baby girl turned 3! *Insert sniffles here* I remember bringing her home and the time before she would sleep in her own crib, sleeping w/ her on the chair for the first month, the late night/early morning feedings and I really miss those times. Not to take away from my time w/ my baby now, she cracks me up every single day, pretty much everything that comes out of her mouth is hilarious and she's so much fun to be around, it's just so mind boggeling to know that she's really growing up and there is not a thing I can do about it!

What is just as crazy is all of the "baby's" that are in my life are getting older too!!! Anna?? 1?? really?? and Morgan too! Drew 3? dear lord KENYON? 4??? Madeline 3??? Finley,3?? Cormac 5??????? Aubri & Maddie!! Oh girls please don't start!

STOP IT ALREADY!!! ALL OF YOU! I expect ea. and everyone of you to just stay as cute as you can possibly be forever! ;o)

Ok so I can wish right? I know i'll be sorely disappointed but it just really does amaze me how all these precious children can continue to grow up and I am not a day older! *giggle*

I sat here staring and still as I type this I just don't have to words to express how I felt/feel, yet I have to say something...

How lucky are we today to witness such an amazing time in history! I don't care if you voted for President Obama or not, as an American you just have to step back and see what has been accomplished today. AMAZING!

Call me a dreamer or say I have my head in the clouds, I don't think so. I realize that he is not our savior, nor are we going to wake up tomorrow and everything w/b roses. I realize that he will make mistakes and that there is a chance (extremely high chance) that things are going to be soooo much harder in the future before we even get to see a glimpse of happy times and better economy. But today was HISTORY and you have to appreciate that!

I apologize because I will not be able to give credit to the person that said the following quote as I've forgotten who said it, I believe it was a guest on the today show... but today I feel like "I've gotten my future back"

Here's to the future, to having hope, to witnessing History, and to better times!

I’d like to take this moment to thank everyone for an amazing 2008! When I signed up for Close To My Heart, I was so excited for the journey. Little did I know how much fun I was going to have, how many wonderful people I would meet, and what an adventure this would turn out to be!
I have had such a blast getting to know all of my new scrapping friends and to learn so many new techniques and fun things to make. My crafting has completely expanded from just scraping & stamping (scramping) to paper crafting. I’ve had so much fun getting to know all the amazing other consultants out there and I am so excited to see what 2009 is going to bring.
I had no idea what close to my heart was going to mean to me and I would like to thank each and everyone of you for making this one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I can’t do it with out you!
You’re the best! I look forward to sharing 2009 with all of you!

I've never been one for resolutions (I'm perfect exaclty how I am *giggle* _ya right!)
but for some reason for 2009 I decided I was going to set myself some new years resolutions...

I now know why people don't like new years resolutions *hee hee hee*... I messed up on 3 of my 4 "resolutions" w/in 2 days of the new year... ok so thats out the window... "Resolutions" now known as "GOALS"
I've come to grips with the reality that I should take my own advice, that i've found so easy to shell out in the passed, and "Not wallow in the puddle" I need to realize that sometimes we may step in the mud puddle but the majority of us do not wallow in the puddle... we get out, shake off the mud and move on. So this is me moving on.

I hope that everyone has had much better luck w/ their er' goals... here's to a fabulous 2008 and an even more amazing 2009!

SERIOUSLY IS IT THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY ALREADY????????

How did that happen? Evidently I went on a little Technilogical Hiatus and didn't even realize it until last week!

I apologize for being out of the loop lately and wanted to let everyone know who was patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for me to update the world on the comings and goings of my life.

I've been crazy busy trying to get Kara's invites completed, working on SWAPs of my own & I got to go to my dad's this weekend to help my sis w/ her ... WEDDING INVITES!! AHHH craaazzeee.... It went super well tho & I'm totally excited to see those get completed.

Be sure to check out the SWAP post following, I am considering extending the deadline so if you are interested still but a little unsure about the deadline, let me know and we'll work things out!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? AM I COMPLETELY NUTS????

I made a goal for myself this year... as I am sure most of you have done as well.

STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM WallyWorld (Or ANY store) ON BLACK FRIDAY!!!

As I get older, crowds and shopping just seem less and less appealing. Black Friday WallyWorld is the epitome of both of these with a little "CRAZZZZZEEEE" added in.

So why does any of this matter you ask? Because I HAVE to go to WallyWorld on Friday as they are the debil and ofcourse have an amazing deal on a kids PowerWheels. *Insert internal screaming here!* And OFCOURSE Kara happened to see that on TV and PULLED Ryan into the living room to tell him "I WANT in my house!!"

So Mr Pokey and I will be daring the morning crowds @ 4am... aghhhhh...pray for us I'm Eh-SCARED!!!

It was just too cute when at my gathering last night Stacy said she called herself "The Dirty Scrapper" ... How appropriate!

I adjusted to "Scramping" since I do stamp and scrapbook, it just wouldn't be right to leave out stamping.

G'Day Fellow Pirates... OK I'm not a pirate but I'm listening to Dora and a bunch of her creepy minions screaming AAAAArrrrrrr and I had to do something else.
Is it me or do they really put subliminal messages in these things?! They are addicting in a total TRAIN WRECK sort of way. They're worse then Jerry Springer or, the truster, DOG the Bounty hunter... Yes I've watched these it's true...No Judgement! Do not shame me! You know you've watched them too. :o)

OK onto some content... (Nothing too interesting don't get your hopes up folks)...

Today I had my first Expo for my Scrapbooking & Stamping business. Overall I would consider it a success. Not many people showed as it was Widows Day har in WI and there was a TON of different expo's & craft fairs all around town. However I did make a nice sale and made a few contacts. I went with the expectation of just making contacts so I would have to say it was well worth the day.

Now I have to prep for my party on Monday. The hostess has WELL over 12 people coming for sure, most said they'll bring friends. We're actually expecting 20 ish people. Think I'm even remotely prepared???? MMMMM That would be a big fat N_O folks! I'm freaking but hey it'll be great! I know we're gonna have a blast.

Thursday-Thanksgiving w/ the In-Laws YAY! SOOOOO Can't wait for Gma's stuffing! She makes THE BEST stuffing in the whole wide world!

Friday another Expo! Ya... not so much ready for that one yet either (Insert nervous giggle here)

Okay total worthless blabbing complete... That's right you'll never get the last 5 minutes of your life back :o) But Hey I feel better *giggle*

Adventures of: Sally, Ruby, and June

Come on, we've all had those moments. Those fits of laughter that leave us wondering... am I going to make it to the bathroom? Do I dare even try to run or if I don't move will I be able to control this? Well multiply that times 3 and add only 1 bathroom into the mix...

Ms.Ruby, Ms. Sally, and Ms. June scramping away like good little ladies when a beautiful song comes on the radio and Ruby says "I want this played at my Father's funeral" don't know why but Sally and June found the humor in this and says "I'm gonna call up my mom and tell her that I have a song to play at her funeral"... Well after MANY hours of scramping and lack of sleep the three ladies find this HILARIOUS and off goes Sally running to the bathroom. All Ruby could think of was OMG What if we all are going to pee our pants??? There's only one bathroom!!

Needless to say this led to even more laughter and thankfully no pee pants occurred... THAT TIME.

Unfortunately there was a casualty of the weekend... not once but twice Ms. June didn't quite make it. Of course this led to more laughter on Ruby & Sally's parts but hey what are friends for if not to giggle at each other's mishaps.

Don't worry though the Pee Pants were washed the next day. All is well and I'm sure that Ruby, Sally, and June will be purchasing Depends for there next scrampin' weekend.

Blog-iquette & I'm so not ready for this!!!

Forgive me if I'm breaking Blog-etiquette, not sure what the rule is on multiple posts in a day... so if anyone knows... please let me know if it's okay to post more than once in a day.

Anyway onto my need for this post... For those of you that know me, know that I've been suffering from Crohn's for almost 3 years now. This has cause a weight loss of over 68lbs. (I know waaa waa waa) Normally I, being a typical woman, would be thrilled with this, unfortunately it put me at a weight of 95lbs at my lowest (NOT HEALTHY). Thankfully my Dr's have finally found the correct meds for me and I have been able to not only put on weight but keep it so far!! This really is great news BUT, of course finding the worst in this scenario, I now have hit my Goal weight & have to actually watch my Caloric intake. AHHHHH After almost 3 years of not worrying about this I am sooo not ready for this.

This should be a very interesting experiment to actually see how much crap I eat in a day and to see if I can actually keep my weight were I want it. Wish me luck.

It's not like I don't have 800 million things to do in my life right now... I'm a happily married mother of an "almost" 3 year old, working full time, and I am not even remotely ready for my Expos/getherings coming up in the next couple weeks.
I don't have time for this, really... but yet here I am... oh well that's life right!
